For the adventurous, you can conquer the turbulent torrents of the Nahatlatch River with a rafting trip. Twelve sprawling kilometers long, the mighty Nahatlatch showcases 25 rapids—boasting such Dickensian names as the Meatgrinder, the A-Hole, and the Lose Yer Lunch—and is at once a formidable challenge for experienced whitewater warriors and a suitable introduction for first-time rafters. Under the aquatic assault of near-continuous whitewater sprays and shots, rafters rely on the leadership of an experienced instructor throughout the four-to-five-hour trip.
