Deer in Nahatlatch Valley

Will I see wildlife at the resort?

The pristine Nahatlatch Valley is a habitat for species that are dependent on old growth ecosystems. Deer are abundant and REO’s alpine trails are ideal for viewing beaver, bald eagles, osprey and even spotted owls.

What is REO’s policy on alcohol?

The resort does not serve alcoholic beverages, however, guests are welcome to bring their own. British Columbia laws and REO's policies prohibit the consumption of alcohol or drugs within 8-hours of rafting or other adventure activities.

What equipment do you provide?

All the necessary gear for rafting is provided by REO, including wetsuits, lifejackets, paddling jackets, and helmets.  All rafting trips on the Nahatlatch, Stein, Coquihalla, and Nicola rivers require wetsuits.  Most trips on the Thompson river require wetsuits but later in the summer when the water is warm on the Thompson, guests have the option of not wearing wetsuits. REO is now including free full body O'Neill surf wetsuit and booty rentals with all rafting packages.

What types of boats do you use?

REO uses all high-end self-bailing rafts from a variety of companies.  The size of rafts used on a particular trip depends on the guests, the river, and water levels and are the most appropriate for those conditions.
